An application for the 2011 Thematic Research Program is open from September 3rd to November 2nd, 2009. All applications are processed on-line through the Academic On-Line Service System. Applicants should submit all the required signed forms accompanied with an official document issued by the host Institute (Preparatory Office or Research Center) to Academic Affair Office by November 5th, 2009.

Interdisciplinary projects will be prioritized. Co-authored projects will also be accepted in light of promoting innovative interdisciplinary collaboration. The assessment of applications will be announced in the middle of year 2010, and the project execution shall start from January 1st, 2011. 

Applicants can at most execute 2 programs funded by the Thematic Research Programs at Academia Sinica from 2011 to 2013. Approved research projects that involve experiments with biological material and genetic engineering, animal experiments, and human subjects must supply a letter of consent from the relevant institute.

Program directors can provide the recommended review list and/or conflict of interest list through the online system.
