Dr. Wen-Harn Pan, Research Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, has received the 2015 Outstanding Contribution in Science and Technology Award on Dec 8th. Dr. Pan has led the Nutrition and Health Survey in Taiwan since 1993, establishing important resources for understanding relationships among foods, nutrition, safety, and health including TDS food data for monitoring food safety. She has done extensive research to connect diet and health and contributed evidence-based findings to policy initiatives such as: Taiwanese Obesity Definition, Taiwanese Food Guide, Healthy People 2020, and Guideline for Building Lifestyle and Culture for Healthy Body Build.
