The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has announced the awardees of 2016 Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (105年吳大猷先生紀念獎). Six of the investigators from Academia Sinica have received the award. They are Dr. Hsiao-hua Yu (尤嘯華), Associate Research Fellow, Institute of Chemistry; Dr. Chin-Yu Hsiao (蕭欽玉), Associate Research Fellow, Institute of Mathematics; Dr. Wei-Ho Chung (鍾偉和), Associate Research Fellow, Research Center for Information Technology Innovation; Dr. Yuki Nakamura (中村友輝), Associate Research Fellow, Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology; Dr. Sheng-Feng Shen (沈聖峰), Associate Research Fellow, Biodiversity Research Center and Dr. Yu-Liang Yang (楊玉良), Assistant Research Fellow, Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center. In honor and memory of Dr. Ta-You Wu for his contribution to the development of science and technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology has established the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award. The award is to nurture young researchers, and is bestowed upon individuals who have dedicated themselves to long-term outstanding research work. Forty researchers have been awarded the 2016 Ta-You Wu Memorial Award. Each awardee is to receive a medal and a one-time payment of NT $200,000 from MOST.
