Director Kuo-hsing Hsieh, Research Fellow of the Institute of Taiwan History, is going to China for academic affairs from July 21-31, 2013. During his absence, Deputy Director Lung-chih Chang is the acting director.

　　Director Kong-Pin Chen, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences, will go to China for academic affairs from July 29–August 2, 2013. During his absence, Deputy Director Te-Lan Chu will be the acting director.

　　Director Shin-Kun Peng, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Economics, will go to Singapore for academic affairs from August 1-5, 2013. During his absence, Deputy Director Joan C. Lo will be the acting director.
