Dr. Soo-Chen Cheng, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Molecular Biology, has been appointed Director of the Institute for a three-year term, effective February 15, 2013.

　　Dr. Shiun-wey Huang, Research Fellow of the Institute of Ethnology, has been seconded as Professor and Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Science at National Dong Hwa University from February 1, 2013 to January 31, 2016.

　　Dr. Sherry Suyu has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics, effective January 10, 2013.

　　Dr. Yen-sheng Chiang has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Sociology, effective January 1, 2013.

　　Dr. Wei-wen Liao has been appointed Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Linguistics, effective January 14, 2013.
