  物理所主辦第五屆台灣統計物理國際會議

      本院物理研究所與國立東華大學物理系聯合舉辦之第五屆台灣統
    計物理國際會議：平衡及非平衡象變（StatPhys-Taiwan-1999），
    八月十日至十二日在本院物理所舉行，八月十三日至十五日則在國
    立東華大學舉行。本次會議之演講內容包括相變與臨界現象研究之
    回顧與前瞻、統計物理方法在經濟學、交通流量、蛋白質結構等問
