  INSTITUTE OF ATOMIC AND MOLECULAR SCIENCES,ACADEMIA SINICA, TAIPEI, TAIWAN

      A	 postdoctoral position is available in the Institute of
    Atomic  and	 Molecular  Sciences,  Academia	Sinica,	Taipei,
    Taiwan,  ROC. Prospective candidates should	perform	crossed
    molecular  beams experiments with implications to chemistry
    in	hydrocarbon rich planetary atmospheres and interstellar
    environments  such	as  molecular  clouds and circumstellar
    envelopes  of  carbon  stars. The following	research topics
    are	available:

      a)Crossed	 beams	investigation  on the formation	of long
    chain  unsaturated	hydrocarbons  and  nitriles/cyanides in
    Titan's  atmosphere,  b)Crossed  beams investigation on the
    formation	of  silicon  containing	 molecules/radicals  in
    circumstellar  shells  of dying carbon stars, and c)Crossed
    beams  investigation  of atom/radical- radical reactions in
    cold, molecular clouds.

      A	 strong	 background  in	 physical  chemistry and vacuum
    technology	is  required. Pertinacious, energetic, and hard
