  本院為促進中韓科技交流，於八十七年五月十四日由院長與韓國科技院
  （Korean Academy of Science and Technology）院長簽署科學合作備
    忘錄，全文如下：

      MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR SCIENTIFIC CO-OPERATION
	     BETWEEN THE ACADEMIA SINICA AND THE KOREAN
		  ACADEMY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

      Desiring	to  promote  bilateral scientific links	between
    the	 Republic  of  China and Korea,	the Academia Sinica and
    the	 korean	 Academy  of  Science and Technology（hereafter
    called the sides）agree to encourage sicentific cooperation
    between the	scientists of their respective countries.

    In particula, both sides intend to；

    ●consider	applications  for support for short visits in
      each direction by	individual scientists  undertaking
      research in the natural and applied sciences;

    ●make  known the opportunities for	exchange in their own
      scientific communities and encourage scientist to
      scientist	links;

    ●explore	the   possibility   of	 joint	projects  and
      workshops/meetings of mutual interest to sicentists in
      each country.
