For example, the vent site was dominated by sounds from geological activities, while the abyssal plain was much quieter than all other sites. In brief, offshore ecosystems targeted by deep-sea mining are more susceptible to impacts of anthropogenic noise; therefore, the monitoring of soundscapes is essential to the environmental assessments in the deep ocean.
