A cross-institution team led by Drs. Jun-Yi Leu, Huai-Kuang Tsai and Cheng-Fu Kao creates \u201ciTARGEX\u201d, a new bioinformatics tool, for identification of novel regulators linked to biological traits. It has been difficult in identifying potential determinants of biological traits with no requirement of a priori knowledge of gene function. To meet this need, iTARGEX provides an alternative approach to the exploration of available biological data and lays a foundation for disease trait determinants.
