His research areas are U.S. grand strategy, geoeconomics, and U.S.-Taiwan relations. His doctoral dissertation topic was the United States\u2019 role in the formation of the East Asian \u201cdevelopmental state\u201d at the beginning of the Cold War, especially the long-term impact of U.S. aid on Taiwan\u2019s planned economic system. <\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lee pursues research across multiple disciplines, including political science, history, law, and economics.
