Dr. Sue Donaldson argues, however, that humans must also learn to do politics with animals, and not just on their behalf. <\/p>\n<p>This requires (1) understanding animals&#8217; diverse forms of political agency; (2) exploring the role of humans in enabling rather than disabling those agencies; and (3) developing a plural model of overlapping and interdependent political jurisdictions to accommodate the complexity of human-animal political relationships and communities.
